With the 14x7 three bladed prop the 1.08 had no problem taking this plane off the ground. On takeoff she tracked great, the tail was up after a short rollout. I had a few clicks of up elevator in to avoid any possibility of a nose over but it planed out on it's mains ready for some up elevator. A little back pressure and she was up. To trim I needed a few clicks of right aileron and down trim but once flying I could say now after looking at the video footage it looked great. I took about 8 laps total and brought the gear up on the 4th. With the gear up I once again had to add a few clicks of down trim. At this point it was flying smooth and straight. I throttled back to try and enjoy a scale speed but nerves kind of block what you do and want to do. After the eighth lap it was time to setup for the landing. I went down to just below half throttle and dropped the gear. A few more clicks off the throttle and I dropped the flaps. Assuming she would balloon I pre-programmed down trim in the elevator when the flaps go down. In doing this when the flaps were lowered she started going down instead of ballooning. Some back pressure on the stick kept her level. I lined her up on the runway and while decreasing throttle I brought her down to the grass to a nice 2 wheel landing and rollout. Overall I was excited about the flight and looking forward to the next.
